Father Alexis Ohanian has met the news with a gobsmacking weekend shocker, which has prompted the Reddit founder to appeal to the fans to wish the soon-to-be K-pop couple good luck.
Serena Williams met Reddit’s co-founder Alexis Ohanian back in 2015 and tied the knot in 2017, which kick-started their formidable relationship. The couple then welcomed their first child, Olympia, in 2017, after Williams won the Australian Open. This was followed by the birth of their second daughter, Adira River Ohanian, in 2023. Olympia has already set foot into the business world of sports after being declared part-owner of Angel City FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Besides being engaged with various interests, the junior William-Ohanians have caught their parents by surprise after showing an interest in forming their own K-Pop group. Alexis Ohanian took to his social media and shared a post that includes a compilation of his photos with Olympia during their weekend getaway while describing his reaction to knowing his daughter’s K-pop craze.
“Weekend dump. I’m told my daughters want to start a K-Pop group. Wish me luck,” wrote Ohanian.
Fans also took time to cherish the photos and commended the scene, highlighting how the daughters are lucky to have parents like Serena Williams and Alexis.
Serena Williams Talks About Daughter Olympia’s Athletic Abilities
Serena Williams is renowned for her tennis prowess, but fans have regularly caught a glimpse of her daughter Olympia’s sporting abilities, as the child has been frequently seen hitting golf balls at the course. During an interview, Williams spoke about Olympia’s interest in golf while talking about her desire not to let both her daughters compete in the same sport.
“Olympia likes golf, because she doesn’t have to run, she’s not into running. The baby Adria, she likes to run so we think gold might be for Olympia and Tennis for Adria. And I would never put them in the same sport,” she said.
For Williams, a comeback to tennis is already in the making, and it remains to be seen when the legendary phenom makes her return official and decides if the upcoming Queens Club tournament will be her first stop.
