Serena Williams Rocks One-Piece Swimsuit & Shares Important Body Positive Reminder For Women

Tennis legend Serena Williams shared a body-positive message for all women through her latest social media post on Friday. The 23-time Grand Slam champion, who played her last professional match at the 2022 US Open before announcing her retirement, has been actively promoting health and work-life balance.

Williams posted three images on Instagram, showing the 44-year-old in a one-piece swimsuit with a fluffy pink bathrobe wrapped around her arms. “I am not perfect…but I’m perfectly me. Take time today to celebrate being perfectly you! 💋” Williams captioned the post.

Since stepping away from professional tennis, Williams has been actively administering herself with GLP-1 weight-reducing drugs. She became the patient ambassador for Ro, a highly popularized medicine telemarketing campaign that has even featured in an ad for the GLP-1 injectors.

Williams has publicly touted the benefits of the weight-loss drug. The former World No. 1 has shed 31-34 pounds over about a year since she started taking the GLP-1 medication and has also reported improved joint mobility, normal vital signs, and better metabolic health, allowing her to stay energized throughout the day and perform her daily tasks well.

The GLP-1 use comes with the star entering the drug testing pool last year and becoming eligible to play in WTA events since February 22, thereby driving anticipation among fans and rumors in the tennis world about a potential comeback in 2026.

Serena Williams Teases Another Hint About a Potential Comeback to Professional Tennis

Williams was widely anticipated to play at the ATX Open alongside her sister Venus in the doubles event, and then at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. Still, the tennis icon hasn’t played any matches and hasn’t yet announced her decision on a potential comeback, leaving fans and analysts on the edge of their seats for months now.

Dropping yet another teasing hint on the same, Williams shared an Instagram post on Thursday with a caption that read, “Contemplating my next move.” While the tennis fraternity can continue making predictions about Williams’ possible return to the sport, only time will tell what the grand champion decides to do in the near future.
