The 2026 NCAA Tennis Round 2 has concluded after a high-stakes regional battle this weekend, which saw plenty of upsets, wins, and historic moments across both the men’s and women’s brackets.
In the men’s division, San Diego finally clinched its first-ever Sweet 16 spot, while the top-seeded Wake Forest, Texas, Ohio State, and Virginia also moved on to the next round. Pepperdine, meanwhile, pulled off a major upset by toppling No. 7 seed LSU in a tight 4–3 battle, while Florida got stunned by No. 16 UCF in a close 4–3 bout.
In the women’s side, the second round witnessed the top-seeded programs take control, with similar echoes of upsets, yet again by No. 11 Pepperdine, which delivered a sweeping 4–0 performance against Stanford. Georgia, NC State, Auburn, and Texas A&M secured their spot in the next round after dominant shows of prowess on the courts this weekend.
The tournament now shifts to Round 3, the super regional stage, where the remaining programs will battle it out for a trip to the quarterfinals stage in Georgia.
