German tennis star Alexander Zverev has once again found himself at the center of an intense backlash after publicly calling out Tennis Channel for cutting him out of a promo video. Now the channel has released a video positioning him at the center of the segment. Despite the change, his previous outburst created a ruckus on social media, with the majority of tennis fans lambasting Zverev for his comments.
Alexander Zverev has had one of the most strenuous weeks of his current season, starting with a bitter exit at the Italian Open at the hands of Italy’s own Luciano Darderi. Amidst the entire heat, frustration has now reached the tipping point, and Zverev, in his classic, confrontational style, hit back on the social media channel of “Tennis Channel” for cutting him out of the final edit.
Zverev took to his social media and blasted the Tennis Channel for their production decisions, while accusing the makers of bias.
“Just a random question @tennischannel why do I do all of these games and all these promotion activities with you guys but then every time I get something right I get cut out of every single one? Just asking if you’re just interested in wasting my time or just hope that I get something wrong so you can then put that in?”
The tennis channel has now uploaded its latest, where they lined up few players from Rome’s lineup and took them through a game called the ‘Bro Test.’ The thumbnail of the video, however, features Zverev in the middle, almost making it look like an epic comeback after his online altercation with the channel.
Fans have, however, turned on the German star and criticized him, questioning if he was finally happy now.

Zverev hasn’t yet responded to the backlash from the fans himself; however, it remains to be seen how his now-tumultuous relationship with the sports channel progresses ahead.
Alexander Zverev’s Match Complaints Get a Reaction from His Opponent Luciano Darderi
During the Italian Open Round of 16, ranked 20 Luciano Darderi decimated Alexander Zverev in 6-1, 6-7, 0-6. After the bout, Zverev acknowledged his loss but also highlighted the harsh conditions of the BNP Paribas Arena, citing that it was not the best arena of choice.
Darderi, however, responded with grace, admitting that the court was not at its complete best but also highlighting how the rest of the conditions remained equal for both players.
“It was difficult to play. I mean, to be honest, the court, I think this is the worst court I’ve ever played on. The court wasn’t 100% at times, but it’s something you have to get used to, There were some bad bounces for me, for him, certainly, but I don’t see it as such a serious thing.” said Darderi.
Up next, Zverev will be in action at the French Open. He was scheduled to play at the ATP 500 event in Hamburg next week, but withdrew citing a back injury.
