What Happened Between Danielle Collins & Corentin Moutet Today? All About American Facing Lying Accusations Over Dating Drama

WTA pro-turned broadcaster Danielle Collins got into trouble after her recent comments about Corentin Moutet during the Miami Open coverage. When one of the Tennis Channel hosts mentioned that Moutet had catcalled Collins during his training session yesterday, the former Australian Open finalist claimed that Moutet had slipped into her DMs.

I basically said to him, ‘If you’re going to be flirting with me like that, you’re going to have to get a bigger serve.’ Some people think it comes down to height. Some people think it comes down to personality, but really, what it comes down to is big forehands and big serves,” Collins said.

Next, Collins revealed that Moutet had unfollowed her after her startling dating profile made headlines. Furthermore, the former World No. 7 said Moutet texted her the night before, asking if she saw his big serves during his R2 win against Thomas Machac at the Miami Open.

Yeah, it was kind of funny too, because he unfollowed me after my viral dating profile when I said I wasn’t interested in the short kings. I mean, come on, people, you have to understand that I’m 5’10 and for me, right? Like it’s fair, like it’s just like a preference, like nothing against the short kings, but he was upset about that and he messaged me and then unfollowed me,” Collins said.

“And then now he slid back into the DMs last night asking me if I saw his match and all the big serves that he was hitting… I don’t think he has a chance yet. He would have to bring a lot to the table. So, I don’t think it’s going to happen, but who knows? We’ll see,” she added.

Moutet was quick to respond, as he fired back at Collins for her irresponsibility during the Tennis Channel broadcast.

“How can I unfollow you when I never followed you. @TennisChannel, how can you let someone say BS like this on TV? You followed me. You asked me for mixed dubs. And I’ve never even followed you. Are you ready to say anything so people talk about you? You should learn how to love yourself so you won’t have to do stupid things for people loves. @TennisChannel, good sport journalist,” Moutet wrote on X.

Corentin Moutet Sets Up a Titanic R3 Clash Against Jannik Sinner at the Miami Open

Moutet defeated Machac in three sets on Friday. Now, the Frenchman has set up a battle against World No. 2 Jannik Sinner in R3 on Monday. Moutet has faced the Italian only once before, on clay. Their previous meeting came during the fourth round of the 2024 French Open, where Sinner won in four sets.

This year, on the hard surface, Moutet is 5-5, while the reigning Indian Wells Masters champion is a dominant 14-2. While on paper, the Italian is the favorite to win the tie easily, Moutet will fancy his chances on the back end of a decent R2 performance against Machac.

However, it will be an uphill task for the Frenchman to cause a major upset against the four-time Grand Slam champion.
