Ben Shelton Delightedly Reacts To Girlfriend Trinity Rodman Making USWNT Coach Do ‘Sexy Dexy’ Dance With Her After Goal Vs Chile

Ben Shelton joined the growing chorus of admiration for his girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, after she scored the decisive goal for the USWNT against Chile and shared a lighthearted ‘Sexy Dexy’ dance celebration with head coach Emma Hayes. She once again proved why she remains one of the most electrifying talents in women’s football.

Rodman scored the final goal to seal the United States’ victory, once again proving her ability to rise in key moments on the international stage. But it was her post-goal celebration that truly lit up social media. In a spontaneous and joyful exchange, Rodman pulled Hayes into a playful ‘Sexy Dexy’ dance on the sidelines, instantly turning the moment into a viral highlight.

Shelton was quick to react, clearly enjoying both the goal and the carefree celebration that followed. The 22-year-old tennis standout shared his reaction on his Instagram story. He posted the video of his girlfriend’s winning goal and penned a sweet message, lauding her skills that read:

The USWNT prevailed over Chile, recording a 5-0 win, and one of the significant contributors during this showdown was Rodman. While she has solidified her position in the soccer world, Shelton also had a dominant run at the Australian Open; however, he suffered a loss against Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals.

Ben Shelton Reflected on his Game Against Jannik Sinner at Australian Open

Ben Shelton met Jannik Sinner on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. The world No. 2 dominated the contest, securing a three-straight-set (6-3, 6-4, 6-4) win against the American. This loss ended the latter’s run at the major, and he attended the media in the press conference, answering questions about his clash against the Italian.

One of the interviewers asked him to share his thoughts on Sinner’s performance and to assess his own showing as well. Replying to this, the world No. 7 said (0:16 onwards):

“I thought he returned very well, and I thought he was clutch with his serving. I thought that the area that there was a big difference today was in second serve return. Um, I thought that was a drop-off for me compared to what I’ve been doing with second serve return earlier in the tournament, and that was just an area where I needed to be better today.
“I thought I played well from the baseline, volleyed well, and served pretty well for the most part. Just have to, you know, continue to get more accurate with my first serve, and I think the second serve return is huge.”
Ben Shelton opened his 2026 season at the ASB Classic, where he advanced to the quarterfinals, but his hopes to win the title were dashed by Sebastian Baez.
