The Colorado Buffaloes had a resurgent 2024 season thanks to the standout play of starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
One of the team’s most dramatic wins in September came against the Baylor Bears, and Sanders recently chatted about the win.

Shedeur Sanders Talks Overtime Win Against Baylor
For the Buffaloes to win the game in overtime against Baylor, Sanders had to throw a game-tying Hail Mary touchdown pass to wide receiver LaJohntay Webster.
He did just that and chatted about the play via Instagram recently.

Not many players could have made the play that Sanders and Webster made.
Sanders threw the ball nearly 50 yards in the air while falling to his left, allowing Webster to make the diving catch.
The Buffaloes would win by a score of 38-31 in overtime.
Sanders Made Magic Happen All Year Long
After Sanders and Colorado’s disappointing 2023 season, the team responded strongly this past year. A year after finishing the season with a record of 4-8 overall (1-8 in conference play), the team finished with an overall record of 9-4 (7-2 in conference play).
Perhaps the biggest reason for the turnaround was the play of Sanders under center. After an exceptional campaign, the reigning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year set many career highs in 2024. He completed 74% of his passes for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns.
The 6’2″, 215-pound native from Dallas Sanders proved in a big way that he could be the next great NFL quarterback of the future.

Time will tell which team decides to take a chance on him in the first round of the NFL Draft this year.
Teams such as the Tennessee Titans and the New York Giants could all be interested in drafting the former Jackson State performer within the first few picks this year.
But if nothing else, the young Sanders was able to turn the ship around in Boulder, and his work won’t soon be forgotten by program fans.
