Patrick Mahomes’ Wife Brittany’s “First Game” Post Gets 2-Word Love From Jake Ferguson’s Fiancee Haley Cavinder

Brittany Mahomes’ loving Instagram post about accompanying her children to the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener received sweet support across team lines. Haley Cavinder, a former Miami Hurricanes basketball star engaged to Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson, left a very simple but very meaningful “Cutest fam” comment on Brittany’s family photo.

Brittany’s original post documented a special moment as she shared her joy of bringing her children to see their dad, Patrick Mahomes, play.

“Every year is different with my babies, I get so excited taking them to the first game and seeing how much more they understand and enjoy watching their dad play! This year is gonna be a good one”, Brittany wrote in her caption.

The Mahomes family welcomed their third child, Golden Ray, in January 2025. Golden Ray joins four-year-old Sterling and two-year-old Bronze in what has become one of the NFL’s most adored families.

Cavinder’s positive statement shows the growing connections among NFL families from various teams and conferences despite Jake Ferguson playing for the Dallas Cowboys, making them traditional rivals in many ways. The former basketball player announced her engagement to Ferguson in Apr. 2025, and she is making her mark in NFL circles as well.

Mahomes Closes Preseason Strong With 143 Yards, TD

The latest on-field news sees Patrick Mahomes concluding his preseason training with strong numbers, throwing for 143 yards and a touchdown in his final exhibition experience. The three-time Super Bowl champion has expressed a desire to implement more deep passing elements into Kansas City’s offensive philosophy for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Ferguson himself is riding high off the signing of a significant career milestone, a four-year, $52 million contract with Dallas. The Cowboys’ tight end is viewed as an important cog on their side, even though he suffered a minor back contusion in practice on August 7. That injury is not regarded as serious and shouldn’t impact his regular-season availability.

The Chiefs will kick off their 2025 season against the Los Angeles Chargers on September 7. This game is especially significant because it is a notable milestone for Patrick Mahomes’ and Travis Kelce’s new steakhouse place, ‘1587 Prime’, on Sep. 17, which will also happen to be Mahomes’ 30th birthday.
