Simone Biles shared her disbelief as she geared up for a new chapter in her life by opening her new restaurant, “Taste of Gold,” on Tuesday. The new restaurant opened at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport inside Terminal A near Gate A8.
“Taste of Gold” will commemorate the legendary gymnast’s feat and achievements with a signature food and bar menu, curated by Mark Brezinski. Biles’ new venture has opened in partnership with The Playmakers Group.
The extensive menu will include sandwiches, salads, and a variety of shareables. It will also feature Biles’ personal favorite, “Simone’s Skewers,” which will have chicken, steak, shrimp, and vegetable options. Visitors can also indulge indessert spread.
The restaurant features decor inspired by Biles’ legendary career. It also has a TV for watching sports and 3D art by Texas designer Jody Dodson. As the gymnast opened the restaurant, she shared a few glimpses with her fans on social media as she was accompanied by her family.
Biles was seen wearing a peach shimmer coat, which she paired with glamorous jewellery. She was accompanied by her husband, Jonathan Owens, and her sister, Adria Biles, both of whom opted for black suits.
Sharing the pictures, Biles wrote:
“TASTE OF GOLD NOW OPEN IN IAH AIRPORT ✨🤏🏾 *Terminal A.”
The gymnast penned her disbelief at having opened a new venture and wrote:
“I can’t believe I have a freaking restaurant.”
Simone Biles Pens Heartwarming Message For Her Husband Jonathan Owens After He Signed A One-Year Contract With Indianapolis Colts
Owens entered his eighth NFL season by signing a one-year deal with the Colts. After competing in all 17 regular-season games last year, he will now be playing for the Horseshoe team.
Biles shared a few glimpses from their visit to Indianapolis. As her husband entered the new chapter in his life, Biles showed her excitement for the NFL safety and wrote:
“Excited to call Indy home this upcoming football season 💙 beyond proud of you @jowens! keep defeating the odds, I love you.”
Owens joined the Colts after having competed for the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Texans over the last five years.
