In a rather shocking move in the NFL today, the Miami Dolphins released star wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Hill was set to receive an $11 million cap hit next month towards the team and was released with the team saving $22.8 million towards the cap this season.
Hill is also recovering from a torn ACL and dislocated kneed cap that he suffered early in the season last year.
Hill, at age 32, is free to negotiate with any team in the NFL With Hill being a free agent, there will be many teams interested in signing him.
5 Teams That Could Sign Tyreek Hill
Kansas City Chiefs
Why not rejoin the team that drafted him and the team that he won a Super Bowl with? Hill has flirted with the idea of joining the Chiefs again and now he has the chance to. The Chiefs won two Super Bowls since he left, and that alone could draw him back to KC.
Baltimore Ravens
Yes, Zay Flowers made the Pro Bowl in back-to-back seasons for the Baltimore Ravens, but the Ravens still lack a superstar and talent in that position. Adding Hill would give quarterback Lamar Jackson arguably the biggest weapon of his career and could elevate that offense.
Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos have a solid group of wide outs but could give quarterback Bo Nix another deep threat receiver opposite side of Courtland Sutton. Being one of the best teams in the AFC last season, Hill could consider joining Denver, who could be one of the best teams in the AFC next year.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders may not be as talented as the other teams listed, but they have the money to afford Hill. Las Vegas currently has about $90 million in cap space for this season and could make Hill one of the highest-paid WRs in the NFL. They’ll also have the No. 12 overall pick likely throwing him the ball, as they’re expected to draft a quarterback.
Buffalo Bills
Imagine Tyreek Hill catching passes from Patrick Mahomes to begin his career, and possibly Josh Allen to end his career. The Bills still lack a true WR1 since Stefon Diggs’ departure, and could get hit a home run by landing Hill in free agency.
