The FIFA World Cup is at its business end as the contenders prove why they deserve to be at the top of the world rankings. England stated their case with a thrilling 2-1 extra-time win against Norway on Saturday at the Miami Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham (who currently boasts a $50 million net worth, per Celebrity Net Worth) was responsible for both of England’s goals, including the 93rd-minute winner in the quarter-final clash.
The game-winner caught the attention of seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, who celebrated the goal with a two-word message on X (formerly Twitter).
While ‘Hey Jude’ is a classic by ‘The Beatles,’ England fans have put a spin on it for their star midfielder. The chant originated when Bellingham played for German club Borussia Dortmund, but has since become a mainstay for England fans.
Tom Brady Has Been Closely Following The FIFA World Cup
While the seven-time Super Bowl champ celebrated England’s win over Norway, Brady also had fans talking when he drew parallels between another knockout match at the tournament.
Argentina won their Round Of 16 matchup against Egypt in a comeback for the ages, scoring three goals in the final 10 minutes of the matchup after trailing by two goals for majority of the game.
Brady tweeted about the game after Lionel Messi’s Argentina advanced, saying:
While Argentina turned the game on its head while staring at the face of defeat, Brady was once in a similar situation as Messi, and pulled off the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. However, Brady did not shy away from crowning Argentina’s win over his own.
Besides the knockouts, Brady has also been involved with the USMNT campaign, often posting about Folarin Balogun amid other matchups.
