The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding has been one of the most exciting events of this year so far. The mega celebration took place at Madison Square Garden in New York, in front of 1,000 guests.
One part of the wedding that attracted a lot of attention was that it was officiated by the popular Hollywood actor Adam Sandler.
American Century Investments CEO Jonathan Thomas shares his experience of attending the Kelce, Swift wedding during an appearance on the “Compound” podcast on July 17.
“First of all, Adam Sandler officiated it. He came down, everybody laughed and thought it was a joke at first, but he actually did. He probably spoke for 20 or 30 minutes. Vacillated between funny, very sincere, and sang a few things. You know, if there was a key theme to his thing, there are two things I remember real distinctly. One is that you know in your typical vows, the officiator says for rich or for poor. Adam said, “You know, you’re not going to have to worry about that.” And then the second thing, his key message, was to kiss each other every day, in the morning, at night, after dinner, just kiss often.”
Thomas then also spoke about Kelce’s vows and shared that the Kansas City Chiefs Tight End probably spoke for about 30 minutes.
The CEO added that Kelce made himself unbelievably vulnerable.
Celebrity Journalist Left Unimpressed With Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s Wedding Details
While the Kelce-Swift wedding has been the talk of the town for the past two months, there has been a report that some guests are unhappy with a few arrangements at the grand event.
According to a report by The Daily Mail published earlier this week, guests were left frustrated by long lines for food at the buffet.
Reacting to the situation, celebrity journalist Rob Shuter said on Thursday on “The Nerve Show:”
“It was a mess. It was a total, total mess. Everybody that I’ve spoken to, I spoke to four people who were at this wedding… It just wasn’t very well planned. Now, in their defense, anybody who’s ever catered a wedding or worked at a hotel or even a restaurant knows it is impossible to serve a thousand people at the same time and have high-quality food. So maybe that’s why they went with a buffet, but it just wasn’t thought through.”
Shutter added that there weren’t enough seats and that once people got their food, they didn’t have anywhere to sit, which was really awkward.
