Fans have seen Tom Brady terrorize opponents on the field for years. During his run, he won seven Super Bowl rings and became arguably the greatest quarterback of all time.
Brady used to have rivalries or feuds with the likes of Peyton Manning. Now, his biggest rival is WWE star Logan Paul. This feud is only a few months old, but the fans are already tired of Brady’s new antics.
On July 17 at the Fanatics Fest, Brady took things further and slapped the WWE star on stage. There’s no bad blood between the two, and the slap was merely a promotional tool, but fans were left wondering what Brady’s intention was.
TMZ recently reported that Brady might be eyeing his WWE debut.
“TMZ Sports has learned there are ongoing conversations between the 7x Super Bowl-winning quarterback and World Wrestling Entertainment — meaning TB12 could soon find himself staring down his WWE Superstar rival in the ring, mano a mano,” TMZ said.
When a wrestling fan page posted the same news on X, podcaster Nick Zarasis took shots at the NFL legend.
“Biblical levels of divorced,” he wrote.
Other fans aren’t excited about Brady’s potential new career path either.
“He was in the limelight for 20 years and doesn’t know how to be out of it,” a fan wrote.
Even if football fans don’t like Brady’s recent moves, the reality is that WWE has a worldwide presence and manufacturing a feud against one of the biggest stars in the company will help Brady’s brand.
Tom Brady and Logan Paul have been developing this “beef” for months. It all started when Brady made an appearance on Paul’s ‘IMPAULSIVE’ podcast in February. They had a few heated moments during the Flag Football game in March.
Tom Brady is Waiting for a WWE Storyline
It’s all going according to plan for Tom Brady. Slapping Logan Paul on a big stage has added more spice to their ongoing feud, and Brady himself is eager to find an opportunity to enter the WWE world.
“I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for [WWE president] Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix,” he said during Fanatics Fest. “I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there and still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete.”
It wouldn’t be shocking if Brady makes a surprise appearance at a WWE event or the company officially announces Brady vs Paul over the next few weeks.
