NFL fans are thanking DJ Moore online after the Buffalo Bills star made a selfless gesture towards Bills fans at a local merchandise store. Despite not having played a game for the Bill just yet, Moore has already managed to appeal to the fan base with this gesture that has fans talking for all the right reasons.
Reports suggest that Moore walked into a Buffalo mall and saw a store selling his jerseys and ended up buying the entire stock for over $1,200, asking the store’s assistant manager to give them away for free to Bills fans, who are largely excited to have him on board.
The Store’s Assistant Manager Explained the Situation
Scott Marshall, the assistant manager at Tee Shirt University, was present at the scene when DJ Moore arrived, and explained the situation in detail.
“Tell them the price, he goes, ‘OK, I’m buying it.’ I’m like, ‘What? Do you know the guy or work for him? ‘ and he’s like, ‘Yeah, I work for him,'” Marshall explained.
“He’s kind of joking around. So he buys them, he goes, ‘I’m going to leave them all here, if anybody comes and they want one, just tell them, DJ Moore bought it for them.’ And then he walks out the door, and he pokes his head back in and goes, ‘Yeah, it’s me.’ And he just walks away, and it was a very nice thing that he did,” Marshall continued.
“It means a lot. I mean, it shows he cares. He’s loving the community so far. So yeah, he’s just a very nice guy, and that’s the kind of athlete we usually get in the city.”
