Retired NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara, attended hip-hop star Jay-Z’s sold-out, three-night historic concert series at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx on Sunday to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Reasonable Doubt” and the 25th anniversary of “The Blueprint.”
The show included career-spanning hits and surprise appearances by stars like Beyoncé and Nas, and it turned out to be one of the biggest hip-hop events in NYC history. The show was delayed by at least two hours past the scheduled start time of 9 PM.
After the show, Ciara shared memories from their attendance at Yankee Stadium to witness such a special performance by Jay-Z, who is worth $2.8 billion (via Forbes). She shared a video of her husband, who seemed completely mesmerized by the performance. Her photos and videos also included late Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa. The couple also clicked a photo with Jay-Z himself.
“You have to remember where you were, who you were with, and what you were wearing on Legendary Nights like this. ⭐️,” she wrote in the caption.
Russell Wilson Wanted Baby No. 5 With Ciara Right After Amora’s Birth
Russell Wilson and Ciara had talked about expanding their family further.
Right after giving birth to their youngest daughter, Amora Princess, in December 2023, the former New York Giants quarterback asked the “cinco” question to Ciara. “Cinco” means “five” in Spanish, referencing their potential fifth child. Ciara made the revelation during an exclusive interview with US Weekly.
“When I was giving birth to Amora, that was our fourth baby, he was like shortly after, ‘So, cinco?’ and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute now, like slow it down, sir. We just had a baby here. Let’s be in this moment here, sir,'” Ciara told the outlet.
Despite turning down Wilson at the time, Ciara remains open to becoming a mother again.
“I love being a mom. It’s my favorite job of all,” she said.
On July 6, the couple celebrated their 10th anniversary together. In her heartfelt message for her husband, Ciara appeared delighted to have chosen the quarterback as her partner, and if there was a question of doing it all over again, she wouldn’t change this decision. Wilson also echoed similar sentiments in his message on the milestone.
Having tied the knot in 2016, they are parents to Future Zahir (Ciara’s son from her previous relationship with Future), Sienna Princess (born 2017), Win Harrison (born 2020), and Amora Princess (born 2023).
