After concluding their 2025 NFL season with an abysmal overall record of 4-13, the New York Giants hired John Harbaugh as their new head coach earlier this January.
Having missed out on a playoff spot consistently for the past three seasons, Harbaugh is now tasked with reviving the Giants. Ahead of the 2026 NFL season, the legendary coach now appears to be instilling a new team culture.
During Sunday’s Fanatics Fest in NYC, Giants star QB Jaxson Dart credited John Harbaugh with fostering a unified team environment ever since assuming his role as the head coach of the franchise. The signal caller also praised Harbaugh for the renewed culture and camaraderie inculcated in the New York Giants camp.
“Obviously Coach Harbs (Harbaugh), his identity starts in the trenches. And that’s why he wants to build a team around us, our physicality or toughness,” Dart said.
“I think the biggest change is in the culture. Like, how Harbs establishes the camaraderie between the team, coaching staff, standard. It’s a different feeling, it’s a refreshing feeling. I think we’re all really excited,” he further elaborated.
Harbaugh, during his 18-year coaching tenure with the Baltimore Ravens, has helped them qualify for the playoffs on multiple occasions, including their Super Bowl win against the San Francisco 49ers in the 2012 season.
How Much Is John Harbaugh’s Contract Worth With The Giants?
After going 7-27 over the past two seasons, the New York Giants roped in John Harbaugh as their new head coach on January 17.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Harbaugh is all set to earn a mammoth $20 million per season throughout the length of his five-year contract with the New York-based franchise, bringing his total compensation to $100 million, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in NFL history.
