“It’s So Ridiculous”: NFL Analyst Unleashes Wrath on Dianna Russini for Lying About FaceTiming Kevin O’Connell

Dianna Russini has been in the limelight a lot for her conduct in the last few months, more than ever since the New York Times came out with a story around the popular NFL reporter.

In NYT’s story, an admission by Russini made in an old interview was highlighted where she is telling the story about how he got out of a texting while driving ticket by FaceTiming the head coach of the police officer’s favorite team.

While the coach was unnamed in the interview and in the New York Times story, a bodycam footage of Russini’s incident went viral on Monday.

As it was revealed the coach she allegedly used to get out of the ticket was Vikings coach, Kevin O’Connell, fans quickly noticed a lapse in Russini’s story, which was that she never actually FaceTimed him.

Sharing his thoughts on Russini lying about FaceTiming O’Connell, Mike Florio said on 30th June on “NFL on NBC” YouTube channel:

“It’s a horrible lapse in judgment to admit it to the world, My point is, I just wonder whether or not they even had the thought that maybe she made this up. It’s so outlandish and it’s so ridiculous that she told that story to make herself look, you know, it’s all part of the self-aggrandizing, but self-aggrandizing, making herself look more important, making herself look like somebody who has the ability in a pinch, to press the button and just, it just so happens, it’s like a trick. It just so happens the coach of your favorite team is somebody that I have access to on FaceTime and here he is.”

Mike Florio Makes Bold Prediction on Dianna Russini’s Future as an NFL Insider

Dianna Russini quit her job from The Athletic after her pictures with Mike Vrabel from a resort in Sedona, Arizona went viral and after the announced that they were going to start an investigation on her conduct.

Talking about what’s next in store for Russini, Mike Florio predicted that people are going to be very skeptical of whatever the popular NFL reporter says, if she ever comes out to clear her story.

Florio added that he wonders if Russini is actually employable in any capacity in the media as trusting her word after the fake FaceTime story will not be an easy task.

“Who’s going to hire her? If you can’t trust anything someone says, are you going to hire them? Hey, I lied to everybody else, but I’m not lying to you. I mean, it it really does seem, and I’m not coming to any conclusion here. I’m just raising the question. I would want to know if I’m hiring this person to be a podcaster, radio host, whatever.
What is the basic level of truthfulness on big matters, on little matters?” Florio said. [15:00]

The analyst added that a fundamental understanding and some degree of honesty is required to build an audience in this industry.
