John Harbaugh has been given an opportunity to lead the New York Giants in the latest phase of his career, allowing him to work with one of the most talented players in the NFL right now in Jaxson Dart, and it’s clear Dart has left an impression on him.
When asked about whether he has been surprised by anything Dart has done since he came to the Giants, Harbaugh made it clear that impressed was a better word to describe his feelings.
“I don’t know about surprised, probably just impressed more than anything. I do think he’s obsessed. I believe he really really wants to be good,” Harbaugh said via Bleav in Giants.
“He’s kinda got the it factor from a leadership standpoint because he’s respected by the guys. They just know how hard he works, how much he prepares and they respect his talent. He’s got some charisma.”
The world has been waiting to see Dart and Harbaugh combine at the Giants, and it appears the duo might already be getting along great.
John Harbaugh Compares Jaxson Dart With Tom Brady and Peyton Manning
In the same interview, Harbaugh kept the praise coming for Jaxson Dart as he compared the quarterback’s mentality with that of legends such as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
“For him (Jaxson) to be this young, have that kind of mindset, I don’t know if it surprises me. The guys that have a chance to be great, I feel like the (Tom) Bradys of the world, the (Peyton) Mannings of the world, they were always like that. I kind of see that in Jaxson Dart,” Harbaugh continued.
Following their preseason games, the Giants and John Harbaugh will have their first NFL game of the new season on 13 September in a big game against the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium.
