“Haven’t Really Ever Been a Star”: Super Bowl Champ Roasts Rex Ryan Over Recent Shedeur Sanders Criticism

Shedeur Sanders is not new to criticism; he has been bashed throughout his college career at Colorado, and that criticism carried over to his first year at Cleveland as their quarterback.

People have expressed their dislike of how Shedeur talks about his skills, his social media usage, and how he carries himself, including his flashy jewelry and clothes.

Reacting to a viral video of Sanders posing for a photoshoot with his Browns jerseys laid out on the ground, Rex Ryan expressed his frustration. He reminded the former Colorado star to be more about his team.

Defending Sanders after Ryan’s blunt statement, LeSean McCoy, who is a former Super Bowl champ, said on Speakeasy Podcast on Tuesday:

“I’m trying to figure out why he’s on Shedeur so bad, Like, this is a photo shoot. It’s not about we on my photoshoot. It’s about me on my photo shoot. I don’t want to see nobody. I don’t want to see Myles Garrett in my pictures. I want to see No. 12, Shedeur Sanders. But stuff like this is going to be in his room, and his mom and dad’s living room, and his friends’. I don’t know what it is with Rex and Shedeur. I think he’s a team-first guy. If you look at all what his teammates say about him, they always speak [about] how great of a teammate he is.”

“In the offseason, my friends, my homeboys, I’m doing commercials, and I’m doing all types of brand deals. Bro, it is about me. What are we talking about? And if you don’t understand that, then maybe you just haven’t ever really been a star to understand.”

Shedeur Sanders Gets 100% Real on Blocking Outside Noise

Shedeur Sanders recently uploaded an 18-minute video to his YouTube channel titled “Shedeur Sanders: A Short Film.”

The former Colorado spoke about how he remains confident despite the scrutiny he faces in his professional life.

“I know within myself what Imma do, and I know how dedicated I am to being great,” Sanders said. “So, everything else doesn’t matter because I know what it takes to get to that point, to get to that feeling, to have that confidence.”

Sanders also said he has stopped respecting many people because they only support him from afar, and when he actually needs them in everyday life, they’re not there.
