San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle showed excitement after the latest update from Team USA’s FIFA World Cup camp.
Ahead of the Round of 16 encounter against Belgium, star striker Folarin Balogun has been cleared to play. He was initially banned for one match, but FIFA has taken back the suspension.
It is a big decision for the USMNT as it enters the knockout clash against Belgium with the availability of the team’s leading goal scorer. Balogun has three goals in the tournament.
Kittle knows that well, as he went to X and showed his support towards the development:
“Flo is back 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.”
Balogun was punished with a red card during the United States’ 2-0 Round of 32 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina after a challenge on defender Tarik Muharemovic. The VAR asked referee Raphael Claus to review the incident, resulting in an automatic one-match suspension under FIFA rules.
However, FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee invoked Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, allowing it to suspend any disciplinary action. As a result, FIFA suspended the one-match ban for a one-year probationary period, making Balogun eligible to play against Belgium.
Kittle also taunted the referee who punished the striker with the red card in the first place. In a generated picture, Balogun can be seen holding an Uno reverse card.
George Kittle and wife Claire Congratulates Newly Wed Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
George Kittle and his wife Claire attended the wedding of fellow NFL tight end Travis Kelce and global pop star Taylor Swift. The star couple, who engaged in August, tied the knot in front of around 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden.
Right after the celebrations, over the weekend, the Kittles dropped photos and a congratulatory note:
“It was a family affair. Congratulations on finding your exclamation point! JusT&T Married ❤️. We love y’all!”
The above post showcased their outfits for the wedding. Kittle wore a navy pinstriped suit that went well with Claire’s pastel blue sheath dress with a bedazzled illusion neckline. Previously, she gave a shout-out to fellow 49ers star Kyle Juszczyk’s wife Kristin for saving her from a wardrobe malfunction.
“[Kristin Juszczyk] saved me again,” Claire wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday. “Had to cut the lining in my dress. The zipper was stuck.”
After the wedding, Kittle looks forward to supporting Team USA for their upcoming game against Belgium.
