Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Fred Johnson was seemingly accused by his former partner, Alyssa Okada, of abandoning her while she was pregnant. Okada recently went on TikTok to share a speculative video that posited a hypothetical situation in which an unnamed professional athlete kicks his pregnant girlfriend out of his house, then starts dating again the following day on Hinge.
She asked the public what that says about that individual, and about the woman who knowingly gets intimate with a soon-to-be father, who kicks out her partner during pregnancy.
Fans were quick to react to the video.
“Girl it ain’t just them athletes! I’m going through the same thing! They a whole different nikkah on the entertainment pages!! Oh that’s what my ex called it entertainment!!” one wrote.
“We think you should mind your business and not stress the baby out! you’ve got 2 months to look for a new place before the baby comes, you’ve got bigger things to worry about let your BD do whatever tf he wants. Get a lawyer start the child support process and heal,” ventured one person
“Let me just sip my tea,” another fan wrote.
“I play ball with FJ in Philly. I’ll talk to him,” a person joked.
“I remember complaining to my manager about my crew when I was a first starting out as a Manager. After I was done he looked me straight in the eye and said “thats what you signed up for..” Aint nobody listening to her but the other birds and pigeons,” was a story shared by another fan
“Honey, you’re gonna GET PAID !!! Go get it!!” another wrote.
Fred Johnson graduated from the University of Florida almost eight years after leaving the school
Fred Johnson’s career in the NFL has been bumpy, having gone undrafted in 2019 and bouncing from team to team until finally settling with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. He’s now a regular starter and a Super Bowl champion.
What he wasn’t until the first week of May was a college graduate. After finishing his playing years with the Gators, he never continued his degree. The itch to finish his education came back to him in February of last year, after winning Super Bowl LIX.
“THE DREAM KIND OF SLIPPED UP WHEN I FIRST ENTERED THE LEAGUE AND TRIED TO MAKE A CAREER,” JOHNSON SAID IN LATE APRIL DURING A VISIT TO THE HEAVENER FOOTBALL TRAINING CENTER. “THIS LAST FALL, THINGS JUST LINED UP. ‘OK, I NEED TO GET THIS DONE. LET’S NOT PUT IT OFF ANY LONGER.’ I DEFINITELY SAW IT WAS TIME TO HUNKER DOWN AND TAKE THE INITIATIVE SERIOUSLY. I WANTED TO MAKE SURE I CAME BACK AND FINISHED WHAT I STARTED HERE.
“IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME. I’M EXCITED TO WALK ACROSS THE STAGE, AND HOPEFULLY WON’T TRIP.”
Now, the Eagles man will be a college graduate as he continues to navigate his NFL career and personal life.
