Lamar Jackson almost sent several fans into a coma. In a funny gaffe, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback reposted a fan’s post that claimed that he was moving to the Las Vegas Raiders. The post showed an image of a young kid wearing his Ravens jersey, which is why he reposted, according to a tweet he sent out later as a correction. However, it also included a claim by the boy’s father that he’s going to move to the Raiders.
This is the tweet that accompanied the photo:
“Is this a good time to point out my (then) 3 year old MAY have predicted the potential move of @Lj_era8 to the Raiders?,”
Jackson then tweeted the following, claiming he didn’t read the picture’s caption.
“Lol I just posted the kid in the jersey didn’t even read the caption 🤣🤦🏾♂️,” said Lamar Jackson
It seems that parting ways with John Harbaugh and missing the postseason is as much stress as the Baltimore Ravens fans could take this season. They were livid and shared their reactions.
“You can repost it again now that you said this. You gave us a heart attack,” joked one person.
“don’t scare us like that 🐐🤣,” complained one fan.
“Almost got us for a sec,” said another person.
“can’t be playing w our hearts like that goat,” wrote one individual.
One fan, however, wasn’t concerned at all.
“lamar trolling yall he ain’t going anywhere,” claimed someone.
“i wasn’t worried because you ain’t never leaving us i won’t allow it 😂,” said someone else.
Was Lamar Jackson near a PR disaster? One fan seems to think so.
“You got the most toxic fans in sports lmao be careful playing w them like this,” explained a neutral fan.
A few fans did belittle him.
“Stupid ahhh .. READ next time!,” one person harshly belittled him.
In general, fans just found the story incredibly funny.
“Bro said ‘cute kid in purple’ and accidentally launched the entire offseason trade rumor mill Next time just double-tap the pic like the rest of us peasants. We almost had to start a GoFundMe for therapy sessions … 😂,” said someone.
Dianna Russini: Lamar Jackson Wants Kliff Kingsbury as Baltimore’s OC
Kliff Kingsbury and Joe Brady have interviewed for the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator vacancy. According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Lamar Jackson and other members of the offense want Kingsbury to be their next offensive coordinator.
Here’s what she said this week on “The Herd With Colin Cowherd” podcast:
“I know for a fact that Lamar Jackson and those receivers would like Kliff Kingsbury to run their offense. They’ve shown support. They’ve been vocal about it. They’ve been part of some of these interviews. Lamar Jackson is a part of these. He’s Zooming in, he’s in touch with the decision-makers of what he likes, who he’s liked.”
It’s important to note that the Baltimore Ravens have stated that Lamar Jackson will have a say in the team’s coaching hires, which include a new head coach.
