Cowboys Legend Reacts as Conor McGregor Admits UFC 329 Injury Left Him in a ‘Dark’ Place

As Conor McGregor might know, Dez Bryant has run his race in the NFL. With more time on his hands, the former Cowboys wide receiver has had time to soak up other sports, including the UFC. The fight card on Saturday was a big one marked by the return of McGregor, who had not fought in years.

However, the main event of the evening was cut short when McGregor suffered a leg injury, ending the contest mere moments after it began. Bryant responded to a Sunday post made by the UFC legend shortly after the shocking sudden end.

    “🙏🏿,” Bryant posted.

McGregor’s post was a reaction to the shocking turn of events that took place in the fight. The UFC legend claimed to have had no injuries heading into the card and claimed the injury had materialized as suddenly as it seemed to appear.

“My head gasket is gone,” McGregor posted. “Destroyed. I had no injury / injuries going into the fight. I was throwing kicks, planted and jumping, all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight. This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell.”

Bryant and McGregor will have no choice but to wait to see the full implications of the injury and how far back it has set him.

NFL Stars’ Predictions for Conor McGregor’s UFC 329 Go Up In Smoke

Dez Bryant wasn’t the only NFL name that paid close attention to the card. Von Miller, Puka Nacua, Justin Jefferson and Maxx Crosby all made an appearance at the fight. Before the fight, the four stars were asked for their predictions in a video clip via a Saturday post on X by the NFL on CBS.

The votes fell 3-1 in favor of McGregor. As a result of the injury, Max Holloway ended up winning the fight, which meant the lone Holloway backer, Puka Nacua, was correct.

However, while Nacua’s prediction was the only right one, none of the four predicted that McGregor would suffer an instant injury and lose the fight in mere seconds.

As such, the sports world will once again wait to see one more look at McGregor in his top form.
