It is no secret that the Washington Commanders need a lot of help after their disaster of a season last year, so they have actually dipped a lot into this year’s draft. However, in addition to their picks this year, the team also signed several players who went undrafted, keeping their hopes to play in the NFL alive.
The Commanders have signed a total of six undrafted free agents from this year’s draft, keeping the hopes alive for some of these players that they could play in the NFL. However, unlike the other rookies who got drafted, their place in the final team is not as guaranteed and their salaries would not be as big.
After the draft, the Commanders were in need of a cornerback and a defensive back, as well as a safety. This came after picking a linebacker, a wide receiver, an edge rusher, running back, a center and a quarterback during the draft. Here are all the six Washington Commanders unrestricted free agents who have the chance to get to the NFL:
All 6 Washington Commanders Undrafted Free Agent Signings
- CB Fred Davis II, Northwestern
- RB Robert Henry Jr., UTSA
- WR Jaden Bradley, UNLV
- WR Chris Hilton Jr., LSU
- TE Quentin Moore, Washington
- G Tanoa Togiai, Utah
These six players still have the training camp and the preseason to prove themselves to the team to earn a contract. If they do not perform as the team would have hoped, they would get cut as the team finalizes their roster heading to the 2026-27 NFL season this fall.
2 Washington Commanders Undrafted Free Agents To Watch Out For
While each of these Commanders undrafted free agents did not get picked at all during the draft, two have the potential to make it big, and they are tight end Quentin Moore and wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. Despite every other teams passing on them, these two could be able to make it to the final roster.
Chris Hilton Jr. was a monster for LSU and is known to be very competitive, impressing many scouts but surprisingly never getting drafted. Meanwhile, insider Brett Tessler noted that Quentin Moore is very good and might even have a “larger guarantee than most players drafted in the last few rounds.”
