Are the Browns Getting Brandon Aiyuk? Insider Claims 49ers Wide Receiver’s Days With Franchise ‘Likely Over’

Given recent developments, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk may be on the move soon. On Monday, Feb. 9, @thedawgspodcast on Instagram posted ESPN insider Benjamin Solak’s opinion.

Solak was asked to share his thoughts on newly-minted coach Todd Monken and his Cleveland Browns’ plans for the new season. Solak opined that the Cleveland-based franchise will take a crack at Aiyuk and see if they can turn his focus towards honing his football talent. Solak also claimed that Aiyuk’s time with the 49ers is more likely to be over already.

“‘The Browns will bring in 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, as they continue their tradition of signing receivers on low-cost contracts in the hopes of hitting it big. Aiyuk’s days in San Francisco are likely over; the Browns can offer him more money and opportunity compared to any other team in the NFL,'” @thedawgspodcast quoted Solak in their caption.

“In previous seasons, the Browns were interested in Aiyuk. ESPN insider Benjamin Solak predicts the Browns will continue their pursuit of San Francisco’s disgruntled receiver,” @thedawgspodcast on Instagram continued.

Aiyuk has been out of the playing field since October of 2024, meaning he was out for the entirety of the 2025 NFL season. This is because the 27-year-old suffered a torn ACL and MCL in just Week 7 of the 2024 campaign. Aiyuk was then relegated to a reserve back in December of last year. But, it is more likely that he doesn’t suit up for the 49ers again.

If he does end up joining the Browns, then he will be part of a team that will be playing out its first season under its new coach, Monken. Last year, Cleveland finished with an overall record of 5-12 and was the fourth seed in the AFC North.

Brandon Aiyuk Was Last Seen Speeding Around The Levi’s Stadium

Last December, Brandon Aiyuk uploaded a clip of himself to his social media accounts as he was speeding past Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, which is the home of the San Francisco 49ers.

Recent reports suggest that he has grown distant from the squad, with indications like these adding fuel to the fire. In the recently concluded season, the 49ers finished with an overall record of 12-5.
