Charles Barkley’s comments about “amazing immigrants” went viral on social media, and now, Tristan Thompson has come under the spotlight for something similar. Unlike Chuck, though, Thompson hailed President Donald Trump’s immigration policies and said that those who did things “the right way” should be “taken care of.” Sports writer Jemele Hill cracked down on Thompson for his statement.
While talking on Flagrant and Funny w/ Cari Champion & Jemele Hill on YouTube, the NBA reporter berated the 2016 NBA champion for his statements when he visited the White House in March. She said:
“I hate these ‘right way’ immigrants. He did this all the song and dance about how he agrees with what he’s (President Trump) doing. First of all, you’re embarrassing Canada. We know how Canada feels about Trump… So here he comes with his lame a** opinion, he talking about the ‘right way’ and all of a sudden he lives by the rules. But can you right way with your baby mamas? Can you right way not cheating on people? Since you missed the right way, you want right way about this immigration but you don’t want to right way about them kids, do you?”
Hill went all in on her rant about Tristan Thompson and brought up the popular Kardashian incident that happened in 2019. She added:
“Can you right way to not kissing your lady’s best friend? Can you right way to that? Where was all that right way when you was on Jordyn Woods, knowing your girl is Khloe?”
President Trump’s immigration policy and ICE operations in the country have garnered widespread attention. While some have criticized the brutal outcomes of that, others have praised the POTUS for doing a difficult thing. But what happened with Thompson and Woods, that Hill brought up in her rant?
