While Steph Curry has been sidelined for the past three weeks with runner’s knee, he has been using the time to focus on goals beyond basketball. One of his biggest recent projects is an animated movie he produced called “GOAT.”
At the film’s premiere, where Curry also voices the character Lenny Williamson, a giraffe roarball player, he and his wife Ayesha Curry walked the red carpet together. During one moment that was caught on camera, Ayesha leaned in and whispered something to him.
Shortly after, a clip of the interaction was posted by X user @MachalaDoctor, who suggested that Steph’s mood suddenly shifted.
“What did Ayesha Curry tell Steph Curry that changed his mood so much he almost walked off the red carpet while they were taking pictures together? 😲,” the user captioned his post.
The caption appeared to play into ongoing rumors about trouble in their marriage, seemingly trying to gain engagement by spreading lies.
Although Ayesha did whisper something to Steph, there was no noticeable change in his demeanor, nor did he storm off. Instead, he simply stepped aside in a few seconds to give his wife space in front of the cameras as he briefly turned to interact with someone nearby. The moment was far less dramatic than it was made out to be.

The attempt to defame Ayesha and Steph Curry gained traction. The post on X racked up more than 2.4 million views in just over 12 hours after it went live.
But not everyone bought into it. Plenty of fans quickly saw through what the user was trying to do and pushed back, coming to the Currys’ defense and calling out the false narrative.
“There’s literally no drama here. He smiled for the photo-op, then moved out the frame so paparazzi could capture the solo of his wife. It’s not that serious lol smh,” @JohnnyAGI said.

“He had to let her take personal pictures nothing more,” @shayshasexy said.
“Nothing burger. He was fine, they took her pics, he came back. Move on,” @achieng_ayoma said.
