Carter Bryant has gone viral on the internet, but not for his on-court accolades. During the OKC Thunder vs. the San Antonio Spurs Game 2 of the Western Conference finals, the Spurs forward had to answer nature’s call at Paycom Center.
The Thunder came for Game 2 with an assignment to contain Victor Wembanyama and tie the series. While the home team managed to fulfil their mission, limiting Wemby to 21 points and 17 rebounds in 37 minutes, Bryant was seen in the public washroom during the game.
Underdog shared a video of the rookie hurriedly exiting the facility on X, after washing his hands in the public restroom, and wrote:
“Carter Bryant used the public bathroom in the middle of Game 2”
Bryant, who was drafted 14th overall in the 2025 NBA draft, played in both conference finals games but could only contribute two points and three rebounds. He played 10 minutes off the bench in the last game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the offense with 30 points and nine assists to take the Thunder to a victory, 122-113.
Meanwhile, the Thunder’s bench contributed big in the game. Alex Caruso led the secondary squad with 17 points, while four players scored in double digits.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped Carter Bryant in Game 2
While the stat sheet didn’t reflect Carter Bryant’s performance in Game 2, he was assigned a difficult assignment of guarding Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Canadian superstar, who was awarded the Michael Jordan trophy for the second consecutive time, took up the major scoring responsibility and went 12-24 from the field.
During one of his plays, showcasing his slick handles, SGA dropped Carter Bryant and then drained a jumper over his head. Bleacher Report shared the video on YouTube and wrote:
“Shai dropped Carter Bryant”
Although SGA went 0-3 from deep, he quickly understood his woes from long range and stuck to his mid-range jumpers for the entire game. Defense has been the difference maker in the series, and it was evident in Game 2. While the Spurs had five steals, the Thunder forced turnovers on 14 occasions.
The Spurs will now meet the Thunder back home for Game 3 at Frost Bank Center. The team will try to get back to the winning run and regain the upper hand in the matchup. This series is not just fun on the court, as moments like those with Bryant have also made the WC Finals absolute cinema for fans.
