NBA fans poked fun at the Golden State Warriors’ fans after a video of LeBron James clashing with fans during Thursday’s game against the Dubs went viral on social media.
The clip shows James getting into a verbal spat with a fan during the fourth quarter of the game as the Lakers held a 106-82 lead. James was seen asking the fan on the sidelines to “relax.”
“You need to relax,” James said. “Watch the game.”
“You’re winning,” the fan replied.
“It don’t matter, relax,” James said.
Fans flooded the comments section of the video claiming that Warriors fans are “traumatized” by LeBron James, pointing to his rivalry against Steph Curry and Golden State. Some fans also criticized James.
“Them Warriors fans still traumatized by this man, even after 10 years,” one fan wrote.
“LeBron owning the Warriors fan base as well lmao,” another fan wrote.
“LeBron out here parenting fans mid-game 😭 “watch the game” was personal,” a fan said.
“LeBron telling a fan to relax at a sports event. Isn’t it supposed to be… EXCITING?” another fan said.
“Bron arguing with a fan while up is hilarious,” a fan commented.
LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to one of the most improbable NBA Finals comebacks against the Golden State Warriors in 2016. James led the Cavaliers to the title after trailing 3-1.
James also led the charge during Thursday’s 119-103 win, finishing with 26 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds, shooting 11-for-17.
LeBron James gives three-word reaction to Steph Curry’s gesture
While LeBron James and Steph Curry’s fanbases are often going back and forth on social media, the stars themselves are friends off the court. Curry and James shared a moment ahead of Thursday’s game, as the guard made a gesture, wearing James’ signature shoes, the Nike LeBron X id.
James reacted to the gesture with a three-word reply.
“Out the vault,” James said.
Friday’s win saw the Lakers improve to 51-29 for the season. They are fourth in the Western Conference, one game behind the Denver Nuggets (52-28) in third and tied with the Houston Rockets (51-29) in fifth. Los Angeles will return to action on Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns.
