Taylor Swift Gets Mocked For “Cringe” Dance After Jalen Brunson’s 3-Pointer in NBA Finals Game 4

Taylor Swift went viral after her dance celebration to Jalen Brunson’s three-pointer during the third quarter of Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday. That play cut the deficit to 22 points from 29. Even the San Antonio Spurs may have viewed it as a potential momentum-altering play as coach Mitch Johnson called a timeout.

As the Madison Square Garden erupted to rally behind the home team, Swift and the majority of the courtside celebrities were on their feet, celebrating. As the cameras turned to Swift, the pop star broke out into a dance with the Haim Sisters.

Given her popularity, it’s no surprise that the moment was bound to take over social media. However, the majority of NBA fans mocked Swift. One fan called it “cringe.”

“Am I the only one who finds this corny?” another said.

“they down by 22 points 😭,” one fan added.

Why is she even a Knicks fan? Shouldn’t she be supporting Ja & them lol,” another said.

“The most cringiest thing I’ll see in 2026. I ain’t even lying,” one fan wrote.

“I died from cringe,” one fan added.

Taylor Swift was right to celebrate the small wins as Knicks make NBA history with largest finals comeback win

Most fans mocked Taylor Swift for her early celebrations, but Jalen Brunson’s three was indeed a pivotal moment in Game 4. The Knicks stormed back after that play and won 107-106 to register the largest comeback win in NBA finals history. OG Anunoby saved the night after his put-back game-winner off Brunson’s missed three with 1.2 seconds left.

He was the ultimate difference-maker, scoring 33 points on 10 of 15 shots, including 7 of 9 from three. Anunoby had the third most threes in a final game, only behind Steph Curry and Ray Allen. Anunoby also got the biggest defensive play of the game down the stretch after blocking De’Aaron Fox’s layup that could have put the Spurs up three.

Meanwhile, Brunson was exceptional, too. He scored a team-high 36 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished seven assists and made three steals. The Knicks captain had his most efficient game in the finals, shooting 48.0% from the field.

The Knicks limited the Spurs to only 30 points in the final two quarters, while scoring 58 to win the game. The team take a 3-2 series lead to San Antonio, where they are unbeaten this series.
