The killing of ICU nurse Alex Pretti has accelerated the already ongoing protests in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as Steph Curry’s sister, Sydel Curry-Lee, expressed her thoughts on the incident. Meanwhile, her brother and the Warriors superstar will also be in Minneapolis for his next game against the Timberwolves at Target Center.
The Warriors enter the matchup after two consecutive losses and are placed in eighth spot in the Western Conference. However, the Wolves are on a four-game losing streak after a decent run this season and are in ninth place.
The Warriors-Wolves game, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed due to widespread protests and will now be played on Sunday. The people of Minneapolis will get some fresh air as the 4-time NBA champion will play the home team.
Before Steph Curry takes the court in the city, his sister Sydel shared about the tragic killing of ICU nurse Alex Pretti and wrote:
“The most heavy thing about this is that there are EVIL people justifying this. Just evil. It’s disheartening, its down right depressing.”

The 37-year-old Alex Pretti was killed in a confrontation with federal officers two miles from Target Center. There have been continuous protests in the area around the Wolves’ home arena.
Not just Steph Curry’s sister, but her god-sister has also spoken freely about the incident on social media.
Steph Curry’s god-sibling Cameron Brink shares in solidarity with Alex Pretti
WNBA star and Steph Curry’s god-sibling, Cameron Brink, showcased her thoughts on social media in relation to the killing of the ICU nurse Alex Pretti. The post she reshared on her Instagram story revealed the last act of the victim before he was shot.
The post read:
“New video shows that the final act of his life was trying to help a woman who was being physically assaulted by the masked agents who would then kill him.”
While there is unrest on the streets of Minneapolis, the Warriors franchise is also going through a difficult period this season. Jimmy Butler’s injury has only worsened the situation of the team’s offense, and only a good trade package seems to be a way out for them.
The Wolves look to find their winning ways back in the season and hope to provide relief to the home crowd with a win after a difficult run.
