San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves Starting Lineups and Depth Charts Tonight (May 15) | Game 6, 2026 NBA Playoffs

The San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves continue their conference semis matchup in Friday’s Game 6 at the Target Center. The Spurs took a 3-2 lead after winning Game 5 126-97. Victor Wembanyama asserted his dominance after getting tossed out of Game 4. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year went off for 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and three blocks on 9 of 16 shots.

Keldon Johnson stepped up with 21 points off the bench on 8 of 11 shots in just 21 minutes. Four others scored in double digits as the Spurs relied on team effort to secure the crucial result and avoid an elimination game on the road. It was close until the first quarter, with Minnesota trailing by four. However, Wembanyama getting deep into his bag made the Spurs invincible the rest of the way.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves struggled on offense across the board. Anthony Edwards’ 20 points were the best they could get from any of their players. Edwards shot 6 of 13 but had four turnovers.

Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert were the bigger letdowns as the former scored 17 on 35.3% shooting, while the latter had four points, five rebounds and two steals on 1 of 4 shots. Gobert must be much better than that if the Timberwolves are to have a shot at saving their season on Friday.

The Spurs enter this matchup as 5.5-point favorites despite being dominant in their wins. To the Timberwolves credit, they have been exceptional when their backs are against the wall, and with home support behind them, they can overcome any challenge.
