New York Knicks vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction, Injury Reports and Starting Lineups Tonight (Apr.1)

The New York Knicks will wrap up their four-game road swing on Wednesday night when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies. New York has been winless so far on the trip, falling to the Hornets, Thunder and Rockets, and will look to rebound against a Grizzlies side that has gone 2-8 in its last ten games.

The two teams have played each other 57 times in the regular season, with the Knicks holding a slight 29-28 edge. This game will also be the second and final meeting between two nonconference teams this season. They last faced off on Nov.11, when New York won 133-120 behind Jalen Brunson’s 32 points. Memphis was led by Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama, scoring 19 points each.

It’s also worth noting that the Knicks have swept the Grizzlies in each of the last two seasons. If they win again, it would mark a third straight season sweep.

New York Knicks vs Memphis Grizzlies Preview

This is the second night of a back-to-back for the Knicks. They suffered a 111–94 loss to the Rockets last night, where most of the team struggled throughout the game. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team in scoring with 22 points and eight rebounds.

The Knicks are now in danger of falling out of the third seed after three straight lopsided losses. They are just one game ahead of the fourth-place Cleveland Cavaliers. A lot needs to go in their favor to maintain the third seed and secure home-court advantage in the postseason.

The defensive structure that had been a staple all season completely collapsed under pressure against superior opponents. The question now is whether this setback will serve as the catalyst the Knicks need to get out of their slump.

The Grizzlies have been vastly underperforming, largely due to persistent injuries. They are 11th in the West with a 25-50 record and have been out of playoff contention for some time.

Memphis is coming off a 131–105 loss to the Phoenix Suns, with Tyler Burton leading the team in scoring with 17 points, while Cam Spencer had 16 points. GG Jackson and Jahmai Mashack added 14 points each.

The Knicks have struggled a lot lately, but they should get some relief from those issues on Wednesday night. Bet on the Knicks to cover the spread and secure the win in a game where the total points stay under 228.
