Luka Doncic Injury Called ‘Losers Limp’ as Emmanuel Acho Slams Lakers as ‘Imposters’ After Thunder Blowout

Former NFL star Emmanuel Acho had some strong words for Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers after the team’s 43-point loss to the OKC Thunder on Thursday. The Thunder won 139-96.

It was a tough game for Doncic, who finished with 12 points, seven assists and six turnovers, shooting 3-for-10, including 1-for-7 from 3-point range. After the game, Acho called out the team for its performance during an appearance on the “Speakeasy” podcast.

“This proved the Lakers were impostors,” Acho said. “Not to mention, the Thunder made the Lakers tap. These injuries aren’t coincidental. Austin Reaves is clutching his back like an 80-year-old grandma. Luka Doncic is just throwing the ball away with a hamstring. You know what we call that in football? Losers limp.”

    Acho continued:

“I’m just going to say, Luka wasn’t grabbing a hamstring while he was dropping 63. Austin Reaves was not clutching his back when he had nine dimes last game. … The only Lakers player who was still truly playing with heart? LeBron James.”

The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who finished with 28 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the win. Meanwhile, Austin Reaves recorded a team-high 15 points for Los Angeles.

Kendrick Perkins calls out Emmanuel Acho for switching tone on Luka Doncic and the Lakers after loss to Thunder

While Emmanuel Acho criticized the Lakers, Kendrick Perkins had some words for the NFL star. After the Lakers’ loss to the Thunder, Perkins reacted to Acho’s comments on X, calling him out for changing his view on Los Angeles.

“Oh no, sir! This wasn’t the same energy 2 weeks ago,” Perkins wrote

Acho replied with a GIF of the Simpsons’ character, Homer, retreating into the bushes. Acho and Perkins have gone back and forth in recent weeks.

The exchange stemmed from Perkins’ earlier comments, which implied that Doncic was not in the top five in the MVP race this season. Acho disagreed, citing Doncic’s production and the Lakers’ position in the standings.

Despite the loss, the Lakers held on to third place in the Western Conference with a 50-27 record. They will return to action on Sunday to face the Dallas Mavericks.
