Luka Doncic’s ex-fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, has sparked controversy with her apparent social media activity amid her split with the Los Angeles Lakers guard.
On Friday, X account @PurpGolded shared a screenshot showing Goltes’ alleged like on a comment that claimed Doncic was at fault for their relationship falling apart.
Tensions between Goltes and Doncic reportedly began after he flew out to Slovenia for the birth of his second daughter, Olivia. Here’s what Doncic told ESPN about the situation on Mar. 10.
“I love my daughters more than anything and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season, but that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement,” Dončić said. “Everything I do is for my daughters’ happiness and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can.”
Luka Doncic had been with Goltes since at least 2016, and the two had grown up together in Slovenia. They got engaged in July 2023 and welcomed their first child, daughter Gabriela, that same year.
Luka Doncic calls out Anamaria Goltes for filing a child support request in California
According to TMZ, Luka Doncic filed documents with a Los Angeles judge on Friday, asking for the dismissal of Anamaria Goltes’ request for child support and attorney fees. In his request, Doncic argues that the filing is not valid in California because neither he nor his children permanently reside there.
Documents obtained by TMZ show that Doncic and his lawyer, Laura Wasser, alleged that Goltes’ filing in a L.A. county court is a “clear attempt to forum shop and avail herself of the generous amounts of child support for which California is well-known.”
The Lakers star also states that he has already filed documents in February in Slovenia, where both Doncic and his children reside.
Despite the turmoil in his social life, Doncic has been in strong form for the LA Lakers, averaging 33.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game.
He has led the team to an eight-game winning streak, with the Lakers being third in the Western Conference with a 45-25 record. They will return to action on Saturday to face the Orlando Magic.
