“Look at the Aura”: Heat Fans Awestruck by Giannis Antetokounmpo And Bam Adebayo Tunnel Walk Video At Aces Arena

Fans got their first glimpse at new co-stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo at a basketball arena on Tuesday night. While they weren’t playing, Antetokounmpo and Adebayo stole the spotlight as the duo enjoyed some WNBA action between the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty at the Michelob Ultra Arena. Adebayo’s girlfriend, A’ja Wilson, suited up for this contest. Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo was there with his wife, Mariah, and their kids.

The initial videos didn’t suggest they were sitting together. However, a new video on several fan pages shows Antetokounmpo and Adebayo walking to the court together through the tunnel.

The Heat haven’t had two All-NBA caliber players together for the longest time. Watching a bona fide MVP candidate in Antetokounmpo and a Defensive Player of the Year like Adebayo together sent the fan base into a frenzy. Some fans were still in disbelief over the Heat successfully acquiring Antetokounmpo in the trade that went down on Monday.

Here are some of the best reactions from awestruck fans:

Jay Williams Disagrees With Kendrick Perkins On Giannis Antetokounmpo’s And Bam Adebayo’s Ceiling

The Miami Heat parted with key players like Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Kel’el Ware to land Giannis Antetokounmpo. Not just that, Miami also traded the No. 13 pick and two future first-round picks, mortgaging the franchise’s flexibility to make additional trade moves.

Many feel this could limit the Heat’s ceiling as they would need to fill out the rest of the roster via free agency. Former player and ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins even claimed that Antetokounmpo won’t win another championship in Miami as the No. 1 option.

“Giannis will never win a championship with him being a number 1 option. I repeat. Giannis Antetokounmpo will never win another championship with him being the number 1 option,” Perkins said on Tuesday’s First Take episode.

On Wednesday, Perkins’ colleague, Jay Williams, argued that take. Williams said the Heat have lucrative pieces starting with Bam Adebayo.

“When have we seen him with other All Stars over the last 4 or 5 years after he won it?” Williams said on ESPN’s Get Up. Dame Lillard tried to come to town … couldn’t get it done, he got hurt. Like, who has he played with?

“You put him with Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins, Davion Mitchell, you find some pieces in the margin. You’re telling me that Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra who’s potentially the best coach in the NBA don’t have a legitimate chance to win a championship?”

From a talent perspective, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo are exceptional as a team on paper. However, their limitations on offense would need the Heat to construct their roster a certain way. It starts with adding as much shooting and playmaking as possible.

Davion Mitchell is a solid guard, but he’s primarily a defensive player. Andrew Wiggins is one of the best 3-and-D players, but he’s not the best playmaker out there.
