For Karl-Anthony Towns and his Knicks teammates, a lot of things worked in their favor in their pursuit of the 2026 NBA title. Now that the Knicks are once again NBA champions, fans are praising Towns’ fiancée and her “lucky charm” this postseason.
Over the past month or so, the Knicks’ winning ways have coincided with the presence of a certain bag brought by influencer Jordyn Woods. After the team conquered the summit Saturday night, Knicks fans hailed Woods’ lucky bag on social media.
“Also Jordyn Woods bags are gonna sell out forever after tonight,” one fan tweeted.
“Also special thanks to Jordyn Woods’ lucky bag. IYKYK,” another fan said.
“Jordyn Woods might have been the biggest non-player winner of the Finals!” one fan claimed.
“Please know Jordyn Woods’ bag is undefeated,” another fan added.
“Jordyn Woods bag worked,” one fan stated.
“We gotta put Jordyn Woods bag in Knicks museum,” another fan suggested.
In this Finals series, Woods ran into a snag when Madison Square Garden implemented a no-bag policy in Game 3. This ban was imposed as part of the venue’s “enhanced security measures” with U.S. President Donald Trump in attendance.
Notably, this was the only Finals game that the Knicks lost in this series. Aside from this, New York’s execution and collective resolve were nothing short of masterful as they humbled the San Antonio Spurs with a gentleman’s sweep.
Though Towns was an early contender for Finals MVP, the nod ended up going to Jalen Brunson, who led one final spirited Knicks comeback in Game 5 and finished with 45 points Saturday night.
Karl-Anthony Towns Gives a Shoutout to Former NBA Champion After Announcing Plans to Take Larry O’Brien Trophy “Everywhere”
In the post-game media session, Karl-Anthony Towns announced that he planned to take the Larry O’Brien trophy to his mother’s home country of the Dominican Republic.
Along with this, he gave a shoutout to an NBA veteran who won championship gold not too long ago.
“We takin’ it all over. I’m gonna bring it to Santiago, Santo Domingo, Casa de Campo, La Romana…A huge shoutout to Al Horford who really inspired me.”
Just two years ago, it was Horford hoisting the championship trophy after he conquered the NBA Finals with the Boston Celtics. Now, Towns sounds like he’s primed to take his newly won prize on a “world tour.”
