Is Steph Curry playing tonight against LA Clippers? Massive update emerges before season finale showdown (Apr.12)

Steph Curry is not on the Golden State Warriors’ injury report for their season finale against the LA Clippers on Sunday. Curry will likely suit up, barring any unforeseen incidents leading up to tipoff.

Last week, Curry returned to the Warriors lineup after missing 27 games. However, in Friday’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings, he had Warriors fans holding their breath as he hobbled to the bench.

The 38-year-old landed awkwardly after colliding with Sacramento’s Devin Carter in the first quarter. He remained on the bench, holding his leg and moving cautiously on the sideline, leaving fans speculating about a potential injury. But Curry ended up finishing the game with 11 points in 27 minutes.

After the game, Curry confirmed he is feeling good.

“My knee felt pretty good. It was better than the last game, so I’ll take that as a positive.”

When asked about how many minutes he wants to play against the Clippers, he said:

“My normal minutes, just because I haven’t done it in two months.”

Curry, the league’s leading 3-point scorer, is arguably Golden State’s most important piece, and his health has a direct influence on how far this team can go in the postseason.

While Curry should play, the Warriors could be without Draymond Green (back) and Will Richard (back), as both are listed as questionable.

Golden State got close to securing a top-seven spot, but a 4-6 run in their last 10 games has dashed the team’s hopes. The Warriors are now 10th in the West with a 37-44 record.

The Clippers’ home arena has been a graveyard for the Warriors in recent times, as Golden State has won only twice in the last 11 matchups. The atmosphere at Intuit Dome will be unforgiving, with LA’s intensity on both ends relentless, and small mistakes will be punished quickly.

The two could meet again in the Play-In if the Clippers end up as the ninth seed. They can still move up to eighth, but for that to happen, LA needs to beat the Warriors and hope the Portland Trail Blazers lose to the Sacramento Kings.
