Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija is one of seven players on the team’s injury report ahead of Monday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers. His participation remains in question as he continues to deal with a back injury.
Avdija last played for the Trail Blazers in a 127-97 loss to the New York Knicks on Jan. 30. He had a rough time in that game, finishing with just 11 points, shooting 4-for-14. But he has been solid otherwise, averaging 25.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game, shooting 46.7%.
This has been a breakout season for Avdija, as he also earned his first NBA All-Star selection. If it weren’t for his injury struggles, the Blazers might have been in a better position.
Heading into the All-Star break, the team is in 10th place in the Western Conference with a 25-28 record.
Apart from Deni Avdija, the Trail Blazers will be without Shaedon Sharpe (calf), Kris Murray (back), Matisse Thybulle (thumb/knee) and Damian Lillard. Robert Williams III is listed as questionable with a knee injury, while Scoot Henderson is probable.

Deni Avdija has averaged 7.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 16 games against the 76ers for his career. He has been on the winning side in five of those matchups.
His best game against Philadelphia came in October 2024, while he was with the Washington Wizards. He recorded 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists against the team in a 119-113 loss.
