“I Believe in Him More and More”: Fans React to Bronny James Leading South Bay to 13-0 Win Streak in His Presence

While the LA Lakers continue their strong run with 13 wins in their last 15 games, their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, is quietly dominating as well. After a 137-114 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Thursday, South Bay now holds the best record in the Western Conference at 25-10. Much of that success is being linked to Bronny James, who has been earning plenty of well-deserved praise from fans lately.

In the latest game, Bronny didn’t put up huge numbers, finishing with 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.

However, a few highlight plays caught people’s attention, especially with the team now 13-0 in games he has appeared in.

“I believe in him more and more,” @JasBilyeu said.

“Bronny looks giant compared to some of these dudes. His NBA minutes are going to keep creeping up,” @CavsandEffect wrote.

“If he’s not the g league goat idk who is,” @jachca0 said.

“he’s got a lil confident bop to his game now,” @soufsidesun wrote.

“That move at :17 is straight from the Luka playbook lol Bronny is going to become a problem learning from Luka offense, Marcus smart defense, and his fathers IQ,” @TheB0ssDon said.

“Im genuinely ready to see him play at least 20 minutes in an actual NBA game. I think he’s ready,” @itsTyrus34 said.

Across those 13 games with South Bay, Bronny has averaged 14.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. However, that momentum hasn’t fully carried over to the NBA yet. In the 33 games for the Purple & Gold, he has played limited minutes, averaging 7.2 per game, along with 2.1 points and 1.2 assists.

JJ Redick lauds Bronny James for significant improvements

Bronny James saw some playing time in the Los Angeles Lakers’ latest game against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. He finished with four points on 50% shooting, along with one rebound, one assist, and three ‘stocks’ (combined steals and blocks).

The numbers may not jump off the page, but head coach JJ Redick was full of praise for the youngster. He pointed to Bronny’s growth, especially highlighting the progress he has made during his stint with the South Bay Lakers.

“He’s gotten significantly better,” Redick told reporters. “Our staff has a lot of confidence in him, and it felt like this was a game we really needed him. It was a game where his athleticism and defense stood out—he had two really good individual defensive possessions in the first half. The biggest thing with him right now is his confidence.

“Even though he didn’t make his three tonight, he has a lot of confidence in his shot. He’s having a fantastic season with South Bay and has arguably been the best player in the last three or four weeks in our stay-ready games every time.”
