Giannis Antetokounmpo to Suns Trade Is Absolutely Not On The Cards As Per Team Insider

As the Milwaukee Bucks begin a long offseason, the speculations on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s fate continue to run wild. Now, some Phoenix Suns fans have started to wonder if the two-time MVP can possibly land in The Valley sooner rather than later.

One person who isn’t buying into the “Giannis to Phoenix” rumors is Arizona-based radio veteran John Gambadoro. On Thursday, Gambadoro dismissed all the talk of the Suns pursuing the disgruntled Bucks superstar.

“Come on – what insiders are saying that? National guys? No the Suns are not getting Giannis. There have been zero discussions about him. ZERO. The Suns aren’t doing that – SMH.”

Gambadoro, however, can do little to mitigate the imagination of fans who are interested in the prospect of Giannis Antetokounmpo in a Suns uniform. Antetokounmpo himself fueled the speculations earlier this week when he went on Instagram to look back at his 13th season with the Bucks.

In this IG post, the Greek Freak compared himself to “a phoenix from the ashes” who will eventually “rise.” The mention of a phoenix in this post has gotten some netizens thinking that Antetokounmpo could be interested in joining the Suns next season.

Notably, it was the Phoenix franchise that Antetokounmpo faced in the 2021 NBA Finals when he won his first NBA title. This summer, the possibilities for Antetokounmpo are endless as his relationship with the Bucks organization appears to have reached its breaking point.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Expresses Biggest Regret Amidst Trade Speculations This Season

For months, Giannis Antetokounmpo has heard all sorts of rumors regarding his next landing spot. Appearing on Goran Dragic’s podcast, Antetokounmpo admitted that he regrets not shutting down the rumors from the get-go.

“This year, every day I scroll through the media, turn TV on, “First Take” ESPN, it’s Giannis, Giannis, Giannis…If I could turn the time back, I would maybe come out a little earlier and say, ‘This ends today. Look at me in my eyes, I’m staying in Milwaukee.'”

While Antetokounmpo has constantly expressed his affinity for the team that drafted him over a decade ago, his move to a new squad remains a distinct possibility this summer.
