A parody account on X posted a story on Thursday about Klay Thompson and his girlfriend, Megan Thee Stallion. @obsrvate wrote that Thompson said in a video that he had “caught” her “cheating with his own teammate while at practice 3 times.” According to the post, the Dallas Mavericks star is paying the artist $400,000 a month “just to date her.”
However, the story is fake. Thompson’s video was posted in 2024, shortly after the Golden State Warriors traded him to the Dallas Mavericks, which is why his voice is filled with emotion.
In the video, Thompson talked about sailing in the Bay Area. He never mentioned the “Savage” hitmaker. In the clip, Thompson’s English bulldog, Rocco, went with him to the boat. His beloved pet passed away in May 2025, roughly two months before he reportedly started seeing the rapper.
Moreover, the account in question describes itself as a parody account and is known for posting fake news.
