The Denver Nuggets grabbed their 11th straight win on Friday, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder to end their four-game homestand. The Nuggets defeated the reigning champions, 127-107; however, the Thunder were without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams.
The Nuggets were also far from full strength, with Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Cameron Johnson, Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun sitting out. With most of the starters out, this game was highlighted by key role players for both teams.
Jonas Valanciunas led the charge for the Nuggets, finishing with 23 points and 17 rebounds, shooting 9-for-14. David Roddy and Julian Strawther also recorded more than 20 points in the win.
The Thunder, meanwhile, had Branden Carlson, who finished with 23 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Nikola Topic was also a key contributor, recording 14 points and 11 assists, shooting 2-for-3 from 3-point range.

With their win over the Thunder, the Nuggets improved to 53-28. The team is one game ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers (52-29) in fourth and looks set to finish the season as the third seed in the Western Conference.
The Nuggets have already improved upon last season’s performance, when they finished as the fourth seed in the West with a 50-32 record. With how the table looks at the time of writing, Denver is likely to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2026 NBA playoffs.

The Denver Nuggets have only one game remaining on their 2025-26 season schedule. They will travel to Frost Bank Center to face the San Antonio Spurs ahead of the playoffs. This will be their fourth meeting of the season; the Nuggets lead the series 2-1.
The teams last met on April 4, with the Nuggets grabbing a 136-134 win in overtime, led by a 40-point performance by Nikola Jokic. Victor Wembanyama led the charge for the Spurs, recording 34 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks.
