The Denver Nuggets take on the OKC Thunder on Friday, with Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon’s injury status in the spotlight. Denver’s big three are iffy to suit up as they are listed as questionable. Jokic is dealing with a right wrist issue.
The three-time MVP has dealt with the lingering ailment for a while. There’s a decent chance Jokic doesn’t play, as he has the cushion to miss one more game before losing his eligibility for end-of-season awards. Jokic is in the running for MVP and All-NBA selection. He’s averaged a triple-double for the second consecutive year, tallying 27.8 points, 12.9 rebounds and 10.9 assists on 56.9% shooting in 64 games.
Meanwhile, Murray is dealing with a right shoulder impingement. He’s dealt with it for the past couple of weeks, but it hasn’t limited him much. Murray has played through the injury and will be a game-time decision.
Gordon is managing his right hamstring injury. The forward has been limited by it for most of the 2025-26 season. Gordon has missed all his games due to this. While he’s recovered now, Denver is monitoring his health since he returned on Mar. 6 after aggravating the injury for the second time.
The Denver Nuggets have ruled out Spencer Jones and Payton Watson. They are dealing with right hamstring strain injuries.
With the OKC Thunder resting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and six other key starters and rotation players, the Nuggets could follow suit and rest Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon.
