Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks Preview and Prediction

The Boston Celtics picked up in March exactly where they left off in February. They closed out last month on a strong note, going 9-2 and finishing with a dominant 148-111 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 27. They carried that momentum straight into March, opening with a 114-98 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Jaylen Brown has been a huge reason for this recent surge, averaging 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game during this stretch.

The Milwaukee Bucks also found their rhythm in February after a rough January, where they went just 4-8. They responded with an impressive 8-4 run, upsetting powerhouses such as the OKC Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic. What makes that stretch even more notable is that they did it without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

March, however, has not started on the same note for Milwaukee. They opened the month with a 120-97 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Mar. 1.

The season series between the Celtics and Bucks is tied 1-1, but neither matchup was especially close. On Dec. 11, the Bucks secured a 116-101 win without Giannis, powered by Kyle Kuzma’s 31-point performance. The Celtics answered back on Feb. 1 with a commanding 107-79 win, highlighted by Jaylen Brown’s 30-point, 13-rebound double-double.

Even with Milwaukee’s strong stretch in February, Boston looks like the safer pick heading into this matchup. The Celtics are healthy, playing with confidence, and have been better on the road at 20-11 than the Bucks have been at home at 14-14.

Prediction: Expect the Celtics to win by 10 points.
