Rumors on social media suggest that Kevin Durant is in a relationship with Magic Johnson’s child, EJ Johnson. The rumors started after the Facebook page Inside Hoop shared a picture of Durant and Johnson, with a comment from Anthony Edwards pasted on top.
The post has gone viral and is being shared across multiple social media platforms. But there is no truth to the rumors, as the picture of Durant and Johnson being circulated has been edited. The comment from Edwards is also fake.
Kevin Durant is not known to be in any public relationships at the moment. The Houston Rockets forward rarely discusses his personal life publicly, but has been linked to a few people in the past few years, including WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Liz Cambage.
This is not the first time that Durant has been linked to EJ Johnson. A similar post was shared online in September 2025, leading to much speculation about a relationship between the two.
Durant was once engaged to WNBA star Monica Wright in July 2013. They were engaged for a year before calling it off in 2014. Magic Johnson’s child, EJ Johnson, is also not confirmed to be in a relationship with anyone at the moment.
Kevin Durant makes history, following a 40-point performance for the Rockets
Kevin Durant scored 40 points in the Rockets’ 113-108 win against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. This marked his first 40-point performance for Houston and made KD the only player to record a 40-point game for five different teams, doing so for the OKC Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, and now the Rockets.
He is averaging 26.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, shooting 50.8%, including 40.2% from 3-point range. Alperen Sengun has also been solid, recording 20.4 ppg, 9.2 rpg and 6.4 apg.
Together, they have led the Rockets to fourth place in the Western Conference with a 37-21 record. Houston is seven and a half games behind the OKC Thunder (46-15) in first place. The team will return to the court on Sunday to face the Miami Heat as it looks to grab its fourth consecutive win.
