Anthony Edwards’ ex-girlfriend, Ayesha Howard, appeared to reference the Minnesota Timberwolves star on social media. The pair have been involved in a legal battle since September 2024 after Edwards filed a paternity and child support petition following the birth of their daughter, Aubrey.
On Monday, Howard shared two posts on her Instagram account, seemingly directed at the Timberwolves guard.
“I truly don’t mind that pressure on me but I don’t play bout my creations! It’s all fun and games till you play with my babies IDGAF,” Howard wrote.
“Women love deadbeat dads,” read the caption of a post shared by Howard.
Anthony Edwards has yet to publicly acknowledge Howard’s social media posts. He recorded 30 points and 10 rebounds during Monday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, leading his team to a 119-114 win to tie the series at 1-1. Julius Randle finished with 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Edwards had a tough shooting night in Game 1, finishing with 22 points on 7-for-19 shooting, including 2-for-9 from 3-point range. The Nuggets won that game 116-105 to take a 1-0 series lead.
Ayesha Howard accused Anthony Edwards of concealing assets in a new court filing
According to a court filing obtained by People, Howard is alleging that Edwards has multiple assets in California and knowingly hid their existence in court.
“Intentionally omitted and concealed long-standing financial California-based assets and financial activities at the onset of these California proceedings in an effort to evade personal jurisdiction and child support obligations,” Howard’s affidavit claims.
This is the latest twist in Howard and Edwards’ child support battle after she shut down rumors of receiving her entire child support payment upfront. X users speculated the Timberwolves guard made a one-time payment totaling $1 million to Howard. She denied the same in a statement to The Shade Room on April 2.
Edwards also filed an affidavit in September, accusing Howard of using their daughter as a “revenue-generating asset.”
“The evidence before the Court establishes that Ayesha treats the minor child as a revenue-generating asset. She has publicly admitted to forcing her distressed child to continue performing for social media content, stating, ‘my baby is over content for the day, but momma gotta get back to work.’ She coordinates the child’s appearances with sponsored product placements, monetizing every moment of this infant’s existence.”
Things could go south for Edwards if the court finds he concealed assets. For now, the Timberwolves guard will look to lead his team past the Nuggets in Game 3, tipping off on Thursday.
