Steph Curry’s relationship with his wife, Ayesha Curry, has been under scrutiny for years by fans and other celebrities. Whether the couple goes together or is on social media separately, their actions are almost always placed under a microscope.
On Wednesday, YouTuber DJ Akademiks noticed something about the Currys and said this in his show:
“Chef Curry, I’m here to give you your flowers, my boy. … Whatever Steph Curry done told this chick, he got her all the way in line, man. She was wilding out here. … She was saying she not receiving enough likes from men! She was saying she wanted validation! She was damn near begging for another man. … I didn’t know what Curry did, but he got her back in line. Back in line!”
The live streamer emphasized that for months, the podcaster has been featuring her husband more and more on her social media accounts. He even noted the dates the “Sweet July” founder and CEO highlighted the Golden State Warriors superstar’s exploits in the NBA.
DJ Akademiks’ criticism was in reference to Ayesha Curry’s comments in 2019 about lacking “male attention.” She said on the “Red Table Talk” that she wanted to be desired by men due to the women’s attention on Steph Curry.
In 2025, via the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, she also said that she did not want to marry, due to her plans of becoming a career woman.
DJ Akademiks was one of many who blasted Ayesha Curry’s past comments about her relationship with the two-time NBA MVP. Now that he noticed something different in the chef’s social media engagements, he gave the Warriors’ franchise cornerstone a shoutout.
DJ Akademiks Once Urged Steph Curry To Cheat on Ayesha Curry and Stress Her Out
In the past, DJ Akademiks hardly held back in his criticisms of Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry. In early October, he said on his show:
“If that ni**a is doing a little bit more cheating, she’d act in line. Sometimes, you might just have to go f**k another b**ch. … She don’t look stressed out enough about Curry. She too safe. He need to go f**k the cheerleaders, f**k the girl in the front row. He need to be having 15 h**s like Stefon Diggs! … (Curry) should have her stressed out!”
Five months later, DJ Akademiks claimed the NBA superstar must have done something because Ayesha has allegedly given him more props with her social media posts.
The Currys are one of the sporting world’s power couples. It wouldn’t be surprising if the podcaster and fans continue to keep an eye on their social media activities.
