Aaron Gordon Injury Update: Crucial News on Nuggets Forward’s Game 4 Status vs Timberwolves (Apr. 25)

The Denver Nuggets take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in Saturday’s Game 4 of their 2026 NBA playoffs first-round series, with concerns looming on Aaron Gordon’s status. The forward missed Game 3 as a game-time decision due to left calf tightness. He was questionable before being downgraded to out.

Ahead of Game 4, Gordon remains questionable to face the Timberwolves. It’s a tough situation for the Nuggets as they trail the series 2-1. They sorely missed Gordon’s presence on the defensive end in Game 2. Nikola Jokic couldn’t provide much resistance in the paint and at the rim, allowing Minnesota to dominate the matchup early on.

Coach David Adelman didn’t have an encouraging update on Gordon when he last addressed his status on Friday during practice. Adelman said Gordon walked through practice, and that was all he had for the reporters at the time.

After losing Game 3, Nikola Jokic said he knew about Aaron Gordon’s unavailability two days before the matchup, so the forward has dealt with the injury for a lengthy stretch.

    Aaron Gordon stats vs. Timberwolves

Gordon has averaged 14.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 30 games against the Timberwolves. In 14 playoff games, Gordon has averaged 13.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg and 3.3 apg. In Game 1, Gordon had 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists on 5 of 10 shots, which was crucial in the Nuggets winning 116-105.

In Game 2, he struggled after managing eight points, seven rebounds and four assists, shooting 3 of 9, including 1 of 4 from deep. The Nuggets lost 119-114 despite a 44-25 lead in the second quarter. Without Gordon, Denver got blown out in the first of two games in Minnesota, losing Game 4 113-96.
