The Philadelphia 76ers are in the middle of their best stretch of the 2025-26 season, riding a five-game winning streak from Jan. 27 to Feb. 3. During that run, Philly picked up wins over the Bucks, Kings, Pelicans, Clippers, and Warriors, outscoring opponents by an average of 12.6 points per game.
Tyrese Maxey has been largely responsible for this surge. Over those five games, he is averaging 24.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.8 assists, helping the Sixers improve to an overall 29-21 record.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are coming off an eight-game-long road trip that went on from Jan. 20 through Feb. 3. LA went 5-3 on the trip, with Luka Doncic averaging 33.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 9.1 assists per game.

LA enters Thursday’s matchup as the favorite, largely due to health. The Lakers are fully intact, while the Sixers will be without Paul George and have Joel Embiid listed as day-to-day. Still, this game should be a competitive one considering how Philadelphia has been strong on the road (14-8), while the Lakers are 12-8 at home.
